Recently, Matson announced that its original CLX+ route will be renamed Matson MAX Express to highlight its fast service advantage on the Sino-US route. Matson MAX Express is the second express service of Matson ships on the Sino-US route, connecting with Matson CLX Express to jointly provide more convenient and efficient container transport logistics support for Sino-US trade.
The change of name of Matson MAX Express and the addition of an additional vessel on the route will increase the capacity and stability of the route. In addition to the name change and additions, Matson Shipping also announced that starting March 4, 2024, Matson CLX Express and Matson MAX Express will begin to affiliate with Ningbo Meidong Container Terminal Company, one of the largest privately owned container terminals in China, which has advanced equipment and management to provide fast and smooth loading and unloading services for ships. Matson said that this initiative will help improve the shipping reliability and on-time departure rate of the route, and provide customers with more secure logistics services.
